The Region
The Domaine de Vaucourte is located at the confluence of the Drôme Provençale and the Drôme Valley.
It is a region ideal for outings with family or friends, ideal for lovers of nature, culture and gastronomy.
Nature activities
The Drôme offers exceptional landscapes with its mountains, lavender fields and olive groves. Around the Domaine de Vaucourte, you will discover the woods and hills on foot, which lead to Mont Briant at an altitude of 500 meters.
You can hike, on foot or by bike, in the Saou forest, on the Vercors plateau, or take on the Trois Becs which overlook the Drôme valley from almost 1500 meters.
You can also practice horse riding, paragliding, and canoe down the Ardèche or Drôme gorges.
The villages
The villages perched on the hills such as Mirmande, one of the most beautiful villages in France, Cliousclat and its glazed pottery, will welcome you with their cobbled streets, their fountains and their shaded squares. You can stroll between the painters’ and potters’ workshops.
The patrimony
You can also discover little heritage gems, such as the Château de Grignan, the Ideal Palace du facteur Cheval, the Crest Tower, or the archaeological site of the Chauvet cave. A little over an hour’s drive away you can visit the historic center of Avignon or old Lyon, both listed as UNESCO world heritage sites.
